Ozempic is a non-insulin-based drug designed to help patients with Type 2 Diabetes. Taking the product, along with a healthy diet and regular exercise, may greatly help to improve blood pressure in patients with Type 2 Diabetes. In addition, Ozempic can be used for the treatment of obesity, helping to reduce hunger, food cravings, and body fat.
Ozempic is an injectable prescription medicine for adults. It works along with your body’s own ability to lower blood sugar and helps to release its own insulin, specifically designed to respond when your blood sugar rises. A two-year study concluded that Ozempic does not increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, or death, and just one dose of Ozempic will work around the clock for an entire week. Ozempic is not recommended as the first choice of treatment for treating diabetes, it is not a substitute for insulin, and it is not meant to be used by patients with Type 1 Diabetes.
Coastal Metabolic Research Centre is working to further develop the research of Ozempic’s benefits. We are currently enrolling for a study researching the possible use of Ozempic, or Semaglutide, for patients with a history cardiovascular events. The FDA approval of this drug for Diabetes patients is a big milestone along the path of finding other positive benefits of the drug. We invite you to read more about our Semaglutide study to see if you qualify to participate.
